Let me introduce myself and the team

We didn't make it to our goal in the first 48 hours. That's fine; it was a lofty goal, and we can be proud of what we have made, which is nearly $29,000 as of me writing this, which is damned impressive in my opinion. The two player mode will have to wait, but I think we'll grab it - certain of you have been clamoring for stretch goals, and we just might see it pop up there.
I've talked a lot about Cultists of Cthulhu and the kickstarter campaign, of course, and I think it's past time I get a bit more personal and introduce myself. I'm Thomas Eliot, designer of Cultists of Cthulhu and cofounder of Sixpence Games with my wife Allison. Bloomberg Businessweek once called me a "Guardian of the Apocalypse". Together we work on our games (many of which we have yet to show you!) with two artists; Andrea Renaisse (Professor Pugnacious) and Joshua Wright (Cultists of Cthulhu), and musician Brent Hengeveld.
The fine folks at Brooklyn Independent Media, as part of their series Brooklyn Made, interviewed me fairly recently, and I think their excellent video will make a welcome respite from my much more shoddily put together ones:
I'm also going to be putting on a lot of demos next week, so if you live in or can get to New York and want to play Cultists of Cthulhu right now, with me, you can do that next week! I'll tell you when and where exactly once the plans are finalized, and I'm hoping to hit up every one of my favorite stores in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Less than a quarter to go - but what if we don't make it by tomorrow?

We're over 75% funded and it hasn't even been two days yet, so I am feeling pretty great about that. I hope we reach (and pass!) 100% by the time I wake up tomorrow, and if we don't we will soon after, I'm sure. But if we don't, what about the two player mode?
I really want to get it to you, and I know a lot of you are really interested in that. If you're holding out for that, stick with us and you shall be rewarded.
A great start, and cheaper international shipping!

Wow, yesterday was fantastic! I woke up today to check and see $25,000 pledged so far, and, just, wow. You guys are amazing. I am truly humbled to see how many people share my enthusiasm for this game. I can't wait to get it to you. You're the best supporters ever. We're so close to getting funded before the 48 hour deadline - if you haven't already, spread the word, and if you have, do it again why not!
One of the most common questions I'm getting is "how come the international shipping is so expensive?" The answer is, because that's what I could find to get it to you. This is a big, heavy game, and it's super expensive to ship. Or so I thought! Then one of you wonderful backers, Steve Wright, told me about Ship Naked. I'd already investigated them before, back when I was first planning all this, and found that their rates are basically what I'd used here. But now, it turns out that last June, long after I'd first investigated them, they lowered their international shipping rates by almost a third! That means that we can get international shipping down to $35 instead of $50, which is great news! Also, Canada can get much cheaper, so that's good too. Unfortunately, I can't edit the rewards once somebody's selected them, so here's what I'm going to do: I've added a "ship Internationally" reward (which has the non-north-American option and the Canada option in it), with the shipping cost set appropriately. You can swap your reward around if you prefer, and we'll hopefully be able to get those potential international backers that were turned off by the shipping price earlier.
Also, here's a picture of me looking strangely grumpy, holding a cocktail from the launch party yesterday. It's hard to see, but the cocktail is on fire.
Amazing start, and the launch party tonight in Brooklyn!
